What a great time reconnecting. Golf was good John, Steve, Billy you did a super job. Let's do it again before I get too old to swing a club. As far as seeing everyone I was overwhelmed with how well everyone looked. The Mim's twins brought me back to 1st grade not just Flora. I wish we could do again in 5 years. Great job on the reunion! I had a blast! I know I annoyed a lot of people with my video camera but HEY, get over it! I have a 45 minute video which includes the dinner and reunion. Debbie Bobo and the cheerleaders singing the fight song is priceless! Charlie Pinkerton attempts to sing the Alma Mater! Nancy Aroneck is going to try to put it on the web for everyone to see. My hat is off to the Reunion Committee. It could not have been better!! It was wonderful seeing old friends and remembering the good times we had at A. C. Flora High School, and we did have some good times. I have to add that everyone I saw has aged very gracefully or NOT AT ALL and I love you all. |

Hello Everyone! I attended AC Flora's 50th anniversary on March 27th, 2010. There were only five in attendance from our class as far as I know. Laura Lou, Joan Barrett, Linda Smith, Holly Fetner and me. Four gals and one guy! It was surreal to go back after 40 years and walk the hallways. It would be great to have a tour of the school the Saturday of our reunion if it could be arranged. The day included a tour of the school and an interesting program which recapped the history of the school Did you know we were named after the Air Force's Fighting Falcons? Did you know that Mr. Blume, our first Principal, came from Dreher and that it was his idea to build the school as a campus of buildings rather than the typical "box" type like Dreher and Columbia High? Did you know that the cost to build AC Flora in 1959 was $7.00 per square foot? Wow! You can view the pictures I took in the Photo Albums "Here Now" section.
